MAXTAG Warranty Terms and Conditions
1. These terms and conditions apply to the warranty from Basset Sendirian Berhad ("Basset") in respect of the MAXTAG toll reader ("Product") purchased from an authorised dealer of Basset in Malaysia.
2. Unless otherwise specified, the warranty for the MAXTAG toll reader is valid for twelve (12) months or twenty-four (24) months upon your purchase of the additional one (1) year warranty option (Rechargeable battery only 3 months warranty) from the date of purchase ("Warranty Period").
3. The warranty covers defects in electronic and/or mechanical components under normal use and installation of the Product, subject to the terms and conditions. The defective Product or parts thereof will be repaired and/or replaced (with comparable and/or refurbished Product or parts) as determined by Basset at its sole discretion.
4. The warranty does not cover:
a. Loss and damage to the Product due to abuse and/or tampering by any person other than the authorized personnel of Basset;
b. Negligence and/or misuse (including accidents, improper storage, improper installation, excessive temperature, sand, dust, dirt, or other pollution);
c. Fire, flood, lightning strike, or other acts of God;
d. Deficiencies in consumable parts, such as battery leakage;
e. Consumable items (such as double-sided tape and/or batteries not supplied by Basset).
5. For a warranty claim, you can return the Product to Basset Sendirian Berhad by normal postage or courier of your preference at your own risk and cost. The purchase receipt must be presented for a warranty claim.
6. Basset reserves the right to charge the purchaser for the costs of service, transportation, insurance, and other incidental charges if the defect does not fall within the scope of this warranty and/or the Product has not been proven defective.
7. All decisions made by Basset in respect of the warranty claim shall be conclusive.
